The Guelph Tool Library is OPEN for reservations and in person browsing in Old Quebec Street Shoppes, 55 Wyndham St N in Unit T8 on the main level.  Time slots for reservations are limited and reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance. A minimum of 24 hours advanced notice is required. For in person browsing, tools are subject to availability and items with pending requests will not be available for loan. 

Per tool, Per Day and Per Loan fees:

Select items now have a per tool, per day fee that is automatically applied that helps offset the cost of replacement parts and tool maintenance. These items include, but are not limited to:

  • Circular saws, chop saws, mitre saws, tile saws with circular blades, and table saws
  • Grinders (bench and angle)
  • Line trimmers
  • Pressure washers have a flat fee of $5 per 7 day loan. 

Fees are automatically applied, and are to be paid upon return of the tool. Standard late fees still apply in addition to this fee. We accept cash, or you can add a card to your file. 

Visiting the GTL:

15 Minute parking spots are available outside the entrance to the West Parkade. Members can use these spots to pick up and drop off tools. Free 2 hour on-street spaces are available throughout downtown Guelph. Members are also able to park in the West Parkade for $2 per hour Mon-Fri 8 am to 6 pm. Parkade parking is free after 6 pm on weekdays and on Sundays.  If you have any questions, please call 519 836 7909. Our phone is only monitored during office hours. Kindly note that we are run by a small staff of volunteers, hours are subject to change without notice! 

Masks are required within the GTL and inside of Old Quebec Street Shoppes. Proof of vaccination is not required for general membership, but will be required to attend in person programs at this time.
